Bishop & Associates security teams are well experienced and seasoned veterans at dealing with natural disasters. All of our disaster teams have experience in responding to natural disasters throughout the southeast and Caribbean. Our disaster teams deploy to be self-sufficient with enough supplies for 5 days onsite without external support and can be requested to stay onsite up to 10 days to give your facility complete security.
Bishop & Associates can deploy PRE-storm and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing so. Yes it may cost you the client an extra day or two of security costs, but remember that after the storm trees, power-lines, other debris come down and block the road, plus water rises and floods out roads and washes away bridges and makes the roads likewise impassible - security teams might NOT be able to get to your location when you NEED them the MOST, if you wait to call for security/help AFTER THE STORM.
Our preference is to deploy in teams of four agents, so that we have two agents covering each other working in 12 hr shifts. We can also do two man deployments or customized team size deployments depending on the clients needs. The team can work extended 16 hr shifts for up to 7 days or 18 hr shifts for a 3 day period (this will be coordinated between the on-site contact and the team lead as needed).
Our primary Disaster Security "GO Team" members have been specifically chosen and keep their equipment pre-stocked and ready to go, and is updated and reviewed every three months. They are ready to deploy on 4 hours notice from initial phone call from the client.
Our regular Disaster Security personnel will come in afterwards to support and/or supplement our "GO Team", through relief of personal on shift/client site, additional disaster security personnel to client site, or supporting additional client sites.
Below you will see several pictures showing the different gear that our Disaster Security "GO Team" members keep ready to deploy with.
Note: Each person keeps his own gear and determines his/her needs for operating in a Disaster Area following general guidelines of what they need. Agents assigned to your site may have different gear than below (especially the medical kit based on medical experience and personal preference for medical supplies).
Pictured below are just some of the resources available for disaster relief situations.
We have responded to all significant disasters in the Southeastern United States; from hurricanes to tornadoes, and everything in between.
Unlike a lot of other security companies, we DO NOT hire walk-ins off the street to fill numbers and send them to disaster areas. We retain only highly qualified prior service military veterans and law enforcement who are seasoned veterans in working long hard hours in poor conditions and can handle rigorous duty that disasters require. All of our disaster security teams have at least one or more members that are a seasoned veteran in responding to natural disasters and providing security with limited infrastructure and act as a team lead and mentor to the rest of the team.
Additionally all our personnel are American Red Cross First Aid and CPR with AED certified and have a basic to trauma level medical kit. Personnel with higher medical skills like EMT's can be requested; We also have a resource with K9's that are on-call and available. Both EMT's and K9's are in limited numbers and are on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis (additional charges apply).
Are you worried about having enough supplies for your critical employees that are staying at your business location to keep an eye on your facility or are using it as an emergency shelter? Did your local stores sell out of supplies so fast that your employee's families couldn't buy enough supplies for their families in the event that the hurricane strikes your city? Do you need more supplies to help harden your business or office location to prepare for the worst?
Bishop & Associates can bring in additional supplies to help stock up your business location to weather the storm. Water and food are the primary supplies.
This will not be luxury food - this will be quick, easy to eat/cook food - like ready to eat meals, ramen noodles, canned pasta/meat like chef boyardee, bread with peanut butter and jelly, granola bars.
Juices - apple and grape, drink mixes - lemonade, mio, fruit punch, and such.
Additional supplies such as generators, extension cords, surge protectors, flashlights, batteries, and other supplies are possible.
NOTE: Bishop & Associates is NOT, repeat NOT a supply delivery service. This is an ADD-ON OPTIONAL SERVICE to Disaster Security service for our clients. This needs to be mentioned in the first couple of phone calls with the client when discussing the deployment of the Disaster Security team to be properly arranged and coordinated before our security team departs from Atlanta, Georgia for the client location.
